Cold-pressed from the fruit peel of the Citrus limonum tree, Lemon Oil finds uses across a vast range of final applications from cookies flavourings to fine fragrance. Most citrus oils are by-products of the juicing industry however Lemon Oil is not. The Oil from the Lemons is important to making the economics of processing the fruit viable. Lemon Oil can be used in its pure form in flavour and fragrance applications or it is commonly folded in order to reduce the amount of terpenes in the product for use in drink flavours. The Oil presents as a yellow mobile liquid with a fresh sweet citrus aroma.
