Lavandula Officinalis is a wild plant native to the Mediterranean region. For many years cultivation of Lavender has taken place in order to create the Essential Oil from the flowering tops using a steam distillation method. Cultivation and distilling of Lavender is now common in a number of different countries, Most notably Bulgaria which has become a key growing region. Lavender Oil presents as a colourless to pale yellow liquid with a floral-herbaceous odour.
