Bran absolute is extracted by solvent extraction from wheat grain. Bran has a buttery aroma with subtle notes of hay, honey, nuts, chocolate and vanilla.
Bran absolute can be used to soften intense floral scents and add warmth to citrus-based essential oils. The oil is thick and brown in colour, it becomes pourable once warm.

Bran absolute is sourced from wheat and originates from France; however, it can be found in Italy and Middle Eastern regions.
This absolute oil is commonly used in perfumery due to its many aromas and is frequently used to reduce the intensity of floral essential oils whilst adding warmth to citrus blends.
