Ambrette Seed Absolute is a rich, floral, woody, musky oil that is commonly used to create exotic and oriental blends.
The oil is pale yellow in colour and has a medium strength aroma. Steam distillation is used to carefully extract the oil from the hibiscus abelmoschus.

Ambrette Seed Absolute comes from the seeds of hibiscus abelmoschus plant which is traditionally native to hot and humid parts of Asia, including India and Peru.
The plant is part of the malvaceae family and is the only type of hibiscus plant that is grown for its scent.
What does Ambrette Oil blend well with?
Ambrette oil blends well with jasmine, ylang-ylang, neroli, bergamot and clary sage essential oils as they share similar base notes which complement each other.
However, it is recommended that only a small amount of ambrette oil is used otherwise this can cause the scent to be overpowering and unpleasant.
