Steam distilled from the crushed ripe berries of the Juniperus communis plant, Juniper Berry Oil is used extensively in flavours especially in tinctures for gin distillers. It adds a warm, slightly bitter-aromatic balsamic rich note to flavour compounds. For fragrance formulations, Juniper Berry Oil provides fresh-balsamic notes and blends very well with other materials such as pine, fir lavender & Lavandin to name but a few. The oil presents as a water white to pale yellow mobile liquid with a fresh rich-balsamic woody odour.
