Cajeput essential oil comes from the leaves and branches of a cajeput tree which is native to tropical regions. The essential oil is colourless to pale yellow and has a sweet, herbal and camphoraceous scent.
Cajeput is also known as kajuput or minyak kayu putih essential oil.

Cajeput oil is native to Australia and Southeast Asia and is sourced from a cajeput tree which can be found in warmer climates. The name cajeput comes from the Malay word ākayu putihā which means āwhite woodā
Australia traditionally used cajeput for its antiseptic qualities to treat pains and aches as well as chest infections and skin conditions.
