Cocoa absolute oil is a highly aromatic oil that is extracted from the cocoa bean pods using solvent extraction, which captures the heavy rich scent that cannot be captured using steam distillation.
This oil has a deep, warm chocolate aroma with subtle hints of vanilla and is rich, dark brown or deep amber in colour.

Cocoa absolute oil is extracted from the Theobroma cacao plant and is native to Central and South America. It can be sourced from Ecuador, Peru, Colombia and Brazil, and the Dominican Republic.
What does Cocoa absolute oil blend with?
Cocoa absolute oil has a unique scent that blends well with vanilla, sweet orange, peppermint, cinnamon, sandalwood and lavender essential oils.
As Cocoa absolute oil is very dense, it may need to be diluted before being used in a blend as it can otherwise be overpowering.
