Blackcurrant bud absolute, also known as cassis absolute, is extracted from the buds of a blackcurrant bush. The oil is extracted by solvent extraction from the flower buds.
The oil is dark green in colour and has a very rich fruity aroma with earthy, citrus and mint undertones. The oil is thick in consistency and should be warmed before use to lessen the thickness.
