Cold-pressed from the yellow fruit peels of the Citrus nobilis (reticulata) tree, Mandarin Oil is used extensively in the flavour and fragrance industry. For flavours, it can be used in its pure form and blends well with sweet orange and other citrus products. However, like other Citrus products, it can be folded in order to remove terpenes to make a more concentrated material. In perfume applications, it can be used to add different notes to the fragrance as its odour is unique. The oil presents as a yellow-red mobile liquid with a sweet fresh fruity citrus odour.
