What We Do
We provide essential oils, absolutes, resinoids and balsams to flavour and fragrance manufacturers globally. From large multi-nationals to fresh start-ups, we are here to help.
Quality & Accreditations
Our select network of suppliers is made up of trusted growers and producers who share the same values as us and who are committed to creating wonderful natural products. Many of our suppliers have been providing us with quality materials for many years. It is the faithful support that we receive from our suppliers that allows us to offer high quality and unique products at competitive prices.
The importance of consistency of raw materials cannot be overstated. Perfumers and flavourists need this assurance in order to maintain the quality of their final product. That is why our laboratory employs modern techniques and is equipped with the latest technology including GC-MS, GC-FID and other high quality instrumentation to meet our clients precise specifications.
Our resident flavour and fragrance experts are fundamental to our company and the level of service that we offer. Not only do they facilitate a robust quality control process and provide internal training to our entire team, they also offer technical advice to our clients so that they can get the best results from our products.
We are ISO 9001: 2015 accredited and are actively working towards ISO 22000, Food safety management accreditation. We are members of Sedex and our products are Kosher certified with the Manchester Beth Din.
In 1971, after managing a successful London based essential oils trader for a number of years, JC decided it was time to set up his own company. It took over a year to receive his first order but he never looked back. Over the years JC Buck steadily grew to become a significant importer and exporter of Flavour and Fragrance raw materials, principally essential oils.
Today the company remains a family run business with a dedicated wider team that brings tremendous value to the operation. We trade internationally and benefit greatly from the historic relationships with clients and suppliers which we have built over many years. Indeed, we still trade with the company from whom we made our very first purchase back in 1971.
As the company looks to the years ahead and a third family generation comes to the fore, significant investment has been made to expand our capabilities. In 2020 we moved into our new food-grade facility, fitted with the latest equipment in both the laboratory and warehouse; we are well positioned to continue and further improve our service to the industry.
